Futures

Washington will be Trumpton
If Out Donald wins again
In true and fitting tribute to
That most worthy of men.
And the leader of the west
Will be led by a man of hate
And by the standards they apply
Be itself classed as a rogue state.
Will they invade themselves
With the usual chaos they cause
When they embark on
One of their frequent wars.
Will they know when to retreat
As they usually have to do
Leaving  situations unresolved and
Country's  ruined and split in two.
We can only hope they see sense
And Donald's campaign fails
Leaving him safely housed in
One of their many fragrant jails.
It's a prospect of a future
Both daunting and sinister
But, before we scorn remember
Boris was once our Prime Minister
